The stainless steel pots have metal handles that can detach during use, posing a serious burn hazard to consumers.

Remedy

Consumers should immediately stop using the stockpots and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Reported Injuries

Ocean State Jobbers has received one report of the handles breaking off a pot and causing a burn injury.

All Ocean State Job Lot stores throughout New England from July 2008 through October 2008 for between $12 and $25.

This recall involves the 8-quart, 12-quart, 16-quart, and 20-quart Century Cookware Stainless Steel Stockpots with glass lids. "Century Cookware" is marked on the front and on the bottom of each pot.
