Hazard

The glass lid can break when the jar is being opened, posing a laceration hazard.

Remedy

Consumers should immediately stop using the candles and call MVP to arrange for a full refund. If jars are unopened, consumers should not attempt to open them.

Reported Injuries

There have been 16 reported incidents resulting in laceration injuries, some requiring medical attention, including one requiring stitches.

Sold At

Big Lots, Dollar General and Family Dollar stores between February 2015 and November 2015 for about $5.

The glass jar candles have glass lids and weigh about 18 oz.
