The pressure cooker's lid can open while its contents are under pressure, allowing the hot contents to be expelled and causing burn injuries to bystanders.

Remedy

Consumers should stop using these products immediately. HSN will provide a refund of the purchase price.

Reported Injuries

HSN has received two reports of injuries, which involve second and third degree burns to the upper arm and an unspecified burn injury.

HSN's television network, Web site, through its toll-free number and an employee store in St. Petersburg, Fla., from June 2003 through October 2004 for about $90.

The recalled product is the Ultrex-brand 8-quart pressure cooker set, model number 11453. The set includes a pressure cooker and optional steamer basket. The model number is stamped on the bottom of the pot.
